#TalkAboutPapua: Indonesia’s new Criminal Code – Impacts on Conflict and Conflict Resolution in Papua

On 6th December 2022 the Indonesian Parliament passed a new Criminal Code. It contains a number of provisions that put civil liberties at considerable risk and seriously violate international human rights law and standards. In today’s event of the series #TalkAboutPapua our guest Andreas Harsono, seasoned researcher at Human Rights Watch Indonesia and long-time observer of Papuan affairs, will shed light on the anticipated implications regarding the conflict in and about Papua once the law is fully implemented.
