Laksmi Pamuntjak was one of the star writers at the 67th Frankfurt Book Fair that closed its doors just ten days ago. Indonesia was the “Guest of Honour” at the Fair, and due to the works of Laksmi Pamuntjak, Leila Chudori, Ayu Utami, and some others the mass killings against (alleged) communists in Indonesia from 1965 on became the top issue in coverage of the book fair by the German media.
