Last Saturday we lost a dear friend and colleague. Jopi Peranginangin was brutally killed in downtown Jakarta. He was stabbed to death with a knife or with a bayonette.
The alleged perpetrator is a member of Indonesia’s Navy. Was he just drunk, when he stabbed Jopi to death? Or was it a premediated murder, since Jopi was to release his research on corruption cases on palm oil concessions in June? Nobody ... read more
